Press Release Elections briefing for prospective candidates and agents

Elections briefing for prospective candidates and agents

A briefing session is being held for people considering standing in the Charnwood Borough Council elections in May.

Anyone who is considering being a candidate in any of the 28 Council wards is welcome to attend the session on Tuesday, March 5 at Loughborough Town Hall. Candidates' agents are also welcome.

The session, which starts at 5.30pm in the Victoria Room, will cover an overview of the election processes and arrangements.

Candidate and agent nomination and support packs will be available after the session.

Geoff Parker, Returning Officer, said: "The session will explain the key steps in the electoral process which is more complex than people sometimes expect. This is an opportunity to speak to the officers who run the elections in Charnwood and ask questions."

For further information, confirmation of attendance or if you are unable to attend the briefing and require a nomination and support pack, please contact the electoral services office on 01509 634612 or e-mail electoral.services@charnwood.gov.uk
