EXTENDED TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE OF: SYSTON ROAD, COSSINGTON

The works at the railway bridge on Syston Road, Cossington, were due to be completed on 17th March 2017.

Due to unforeseen circumstances the works are now planned to be completed on 7th April 2017.

The planned completion date is weather dependant.

This will allow contractors to complete the construction of the new Railway Bridge for the Midland Mainline Electrification Scheme.

During the closure, the alternative diversion route will be via:- Syston Road (Cossington): A6 Loughborough Road Bypass: A46 Western Bypass: A607 and vice versa.

Leicestershire County Council apologises for any inconvenience caused.
